Story Protocol (IP) Price Surges 400%, Enters Top 10 AI Tokens by Market Cap

Story Protocol, a Layer 1 blockchain focused on digital ownership, has rapidly gained attention. Since its launch last week, its price has surged by 400%, pushing it into the top AI projects by market cap. Virtual Protocol is now beaten by the project. IP Price Surges Amid Roadmap Reveal and Exchange Listings

Story Price has witnessed a notable surge, reaching a market capitalization of $1.23 billion, marking a 24.21% rise in the past 24 hours. Its trading volume also jumped to $689.41 million, reflecting a significant 99.65% increase. 

Despite this momentum, the token is down 30.76% from its all-time high of $7.11 set on February 20. However, it remains up 392.54% from its all-time low of $1.00 recorded on February 13. According to CoinGecko, the project is now among the top 10 AI tokens by market cap, nudging Virtual Protocol Sei and Graph out of the top ten. 

This price upswing is very recent, and it follows through with Story Protocol’s announcement of its technical roadmap announced last Thursday. Expected to roll out in the second quarter of 2025, the roadmap is a plan for launching a public beta of its IP Portal and decentralized Oracle network.

This follows a series of major exchange listings. Now, the native token of Story Protocol, IP, is available on Crypto.com, MEXC, and KuCoin. These listings have brought about more market activity and opened up the token to a wider audience.

Just over a week ago, Story Protocol launched the mainnet, with a six-month testnet running prior. In the case of the mainnet debut, for example, there was an initial unlock event that released 25 percent of the 1 billion IP token supply. Community initiatives, foundation support, and early ecosystem incentives claim about 58% of the total tokens. Story Protocol intends to interfere with intellectual property management by utilizing blockchain technology, which PIP Labs has developed.

Will Story Protocol Price Hit $10 Soon?

The Story price surge over the past 24-hours trading session, reaching $5.00 a strong surge of more than with a 20%. The daily chart shows strong bullish momentum as buyers push the rising token higher. A significant breakout was observed after the price crossed the $4.70 mark, leading to a sharp upward move.

Technical indicators on the 4-hour chart suggest further movement. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) shows a slight bullish crossover, with the blue MACD line crossing above the signal line. This indicates increasing upward momentum. 

Additionally, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 65, suggesting the asset is approaching overbought territory but still has room for further gains.

Resistance levels are at $7.11, $8.00, and $10.00. A move past $5.50 could trigger more buying interest, pushing the token toward $7.11 and revisiting its previous ATHs. If bullish momentum remains strong, $10.00 could become the next major target. A 100% measured move from the breakout suggests a potential price surge to $10.00 if the price holds above $5.00.

On the downside, support is located at $4.98 and $3.50. A drop below these levels could weaken the bullish outlook. However, the current uptrend remains intact, and technical patterns suggest further upside potential.
