Solana Mobile Launches SKR Token with 90-Day Airdrop Window for Seeker Users

Solana Mobile opened SKR token airdrop claims on Tuesday for users of its Seeker smartphone. The company said more than 100,000 users qualify under the initial distribution. Seeker owners can claim tokens directly through the device’s built-in wallet. The claim window will remain open for 90 days. Any tokens left unclaimed after that period will return to the airdrop pool.

The company said the airdrop reflects its view on mobile ownership. Solana Mobile stated that users who rely on the network should hold a direct stake. The distribution, therefore, includes both device owners and early contributors. The participation remains optional for all eligible users.
Eligibility also extends beyond hardware ownership. Developers who launched what Solana Mobile described as quality apps during Season 1 qualify for allocations. These apps appeared in the Solana dApp Store during the initial rollout period. The company said the inclusion recognizes early development activity. It also connects app deployment with long-term ecosystem participation.
Users can access the claim process through the phone’s integrated wallet. The setup keeps custody within the device environment. Solana Mobile said this approach limits reliance on external platforms. The company also framed the process as a way to simplify onchain participation for nontechnical users.
SKR Token Economics Focus on Governance and Developer Incentives
The SKR token serves as the primary asset within the Solana Mobile ecosystem. The token facilitates governance and economic coordination. Solana Mobile capped the overall supply at 10 billion tokens. Of that amount, 30% supports airdrops and launch unlocks. The company said this allocation prioritizes early participation.
Nearly two billion SKR will be distributed to users and developers. That figure represents roughly 20% of the total supply. Developers who shipped apps during Season 1 share in the allocation. Solana Mobile said this structure ties development activity to ecosystem growth. It also links incentives to continued participation.
The company encouraged recipients to stake their SKR tokens. The inflation events take place every 48 hours in a linear arrangement. Annual inflation begins at 10%. The rate subsequently reduces by 25% annually.
Solana Mobile said the model balances early rewards with long-term issuance control. The structure also aligns staking activity with platform security. SKR launched as an SPL token on the Solana blockchain. SKR is trading near $0.01229, a 53.02% increase in the past day. The trading volume is up 5563.56% to $35 million. Meanwhile, the market cap sits at $66.76 million as of press time.
Seeker Season 2 Expands Mobile Apps and Rewards
The release of Seeker Season 2 coincides with the SKR token launch. The campaign implements new app rewards and early access programs. The areas of focus are decentralized finance, gaming, payments, and trading. Solana Mobile said Season 2 builds on earlier ecosystem testing.

Seeker follows the earlier Saga device. It runs on Android and ships with blockchain-focused features. These include Seed Vault hardware-backed key storage. The phone also includes a native Solana dApp Store. Solana Mobile positioned the device for crypto-native use cases.
In August, the company reported about 150,000 Seeker preorders. The shipments will be carried out in over 50 countries. Seeker also features a Genesis NFT among early adopters. The NFT grants entry to upcoming airdrops and programs associated with ecosystem membership.
